We are a Local Accommodation unit that proposes you
the discovery of Gândara – “The Green side of the Sea” …
coastal region that roughly comprises the coastal strip
between the cities of Aveiro, Coimbra and Figueira-da-Foz.

Gândara has its own Cultural Identity

on the edge of a quiet rural village in a family atmosphere
with access to the entire social area of our family home
and to our garden and vegetable garden …

The Greenside of Sea Hostel History

This house was our parents’ unfinished dream …
Our father borned in the parish of Tocha, the mother here,in the parish of Mira.

With the departure of our Father … We took the testimony …
We inherited your passion for wood and
by Gândara, which runs through our veins…

We finished the adaptation works of our 2nd family home at the end of 2019 …
We opened doors, just before the start of the Covid 19 pandemic
that paralyzed everything on a 13 Friday, March, 2020.

Luckily we are not superstitious … on the contrary …

It seems that our home had already been planned to allow …
Being together … and keep the social distance from security !!

Looking now at the size of our divisions
Lack of space in the different areas we offer, is definitely not a problem!

Outside, we have patios, garden and vegetable garden, where you can breathe freely
And who knows, eat directly from nature, something you picked …

In our home, the rooms are large and airy through several windows
That also let in the natural sunlight came inside.

Keeping Safe Distance at Greenside is Easy!

Finishes with natural elements that beautify and give comfort to our home;
like the natural stone in the bathrooms,
the woods in the personalized handmade furniture
or the traditional clay tiles on the floor, have been polished
lacquered and waxed, in order to be easy and effective, its hygiene.
